Life is a Highway.....(literally)

So life has been CRAZY town for the last few weeks. Lots going on so not a ton of time for updating the blog (Rule #76: No excuses. Play like a champion!)  Well since the last blog my grandparents came to visit, Jeremy graduated the B course, visited the Grand Canyon and Sedona with my parents, we've bought a house, our nephew was born, booked our honeymoon (finally) and we have started the move from Arizona to South Carolina.

Having my grandparents here for a visit was amazing. My granddaddy hasn't flown in like 50 years. The only time he had flown before this visit was in the Army. Mog (my grandma) fixed good home style cookin while she was here. It was marvelous to have some of home all the way in Phoenix AZ! It was a pretty special visit. We went to Sedona to see the red rocks and had a blast playing card games until the wee hours of the morning. Yes my mog is that cool that she stayed up past midnight to play card games with me!

Graduation was bitter sweet. It was a special time for our family but I knew I was saying bye to some great friends (I know we will run into each other but still hard goodbyes.) I was privileged enough to get a spouse taxi -- HOLLA! Our family had a wonderful time getting all dolled up for graduation and then floating the river in our red neck yacht club attire! What a weekend.

We went to visit the GC at sunrise. What an inexplicable grandeur of the Lord. I mean really. It was one of those quiet mornings when you realize just how small you are and just how great God is! Sedona also. We had enough time to do the red rock jeep tour. A day filled with God's goodness and artwork. STUNNING!

Jeremy was approved a week of leave after the b course before his next training course at Luke. We took the opportunity to go home to NC to see friends and family at a NCSU football game (GO PACK) and visit Sumter, SC! We were both pleased to see what Sumter will offer us the next few years. We were able to go house hunting and looked at about 10 homes. drum roll please..................WE put an offer and it was accepted! Jeremy and I will officially own a home on Nov. 4th. I'm only including a picture of the outside bc there is much to be done on the inside. (it's for another before and after crafty post) I'm so excited and ready to start making this our home.

LUCKILY while we were there, we got to meet our nephew! Landon Jack Meisel! Alyssa and Barry had Landon on Sept 30. It was the most wonderful thing to be able to see and hold him! INCREDIBLE!

So to wrap up this eventful post -- everything is packed up and the walls are bare here in Arizona. We will be leaving Luke afb on OCT 31 and heading straight to SUMTER, SC! (of course stopping on the way to see friends) EAST COAST HERE WE COME!
